What happened to all of the posts?

November 23, 2007 · 1 Comment

According to todays stats, I’m still getting well over 100 unique visits per day. With that in mind, I suppose I should explain why most of my posts have vanished.

I decided that it would be better if I combine my two blogs into one on my own server and move them to my main blog over at Fresh Vision Media.

All of the posts that were here are still online, but I’ve moved them over to my blog at FVM. Please adjust your RSS feeds and links.

Thanks!

What does it mean to make the WordPress “Blogs of the Day” list?

November 20, 2007 · 3 Comments

I’ve been using WordPress for several years now. I even run a WordPress MU blog hosting site. Without question, I’m no “noob” when it comes to the award winning blog platform. But I am new to WordPress.com itself. In fact, this is the first WordPress.com blog that I’ve taken seriously enough to post at on a daily basis.

I’m quickly learning the ropes. Feeling my way around and understanding the way things operate.

It hasn’t taken long to pick up on some of the ideal traffic builders. One is the WordPress Popular Post, or “Blogs of the Day” lists. After only ten days of being live, I made the list and traffic soared.

Stats

In essence, making the Blogs of the Day list is very good in terms of traffic and back links. From now on I’m setting a goal to make the list at least once per week. Hopefully I can pull it off.
